Star Seguinot began training in salsa and hustle in the Philadelphia area in 2000 from some of the area?s best instructors including Sonya Elmore, Andre Phelps, and Brian & Silvana Gallagher. Since that time her passion for salsa has taken her to New York City where she received mambo training with Melanie Davis, director of the famed Copa Cabana dancers, and daughter of Eddie & Maria Torres. In 2003 she paired with Kobie Horne and began her performance career where together they have been featured all across the Delaware Valley including numerous performances at La Luna Dance Studio, Cuba Libre Restaurant in Philadelphia and The Cultural Explosion Holiday Party at Club Cubano in Elizabeth, N.J.

As a current dance performer in La Luna?s Entertainment Division, Star used to perform regularly with her partner Kobie at Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar in Center City Philadelphia. In April of 2004, Star and Kobie won the $3,500 La Luna Salsa Classic competition.

Star currently teaches both private and group lessons in the Salsa & Stree Latin program at La Luna Dance Studio and can frequently be seen teaching at Brasil?s Nightclub and Club Skyy in Philadelphia. She is also available to teach and perform at private events with La Luna?s Entertainment Division.
